Role and Responsibilities

As a Delivery Associate, you will play a critical role in USPS's commitment to dependable and secure mail and package delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring that all deliveries are made efficiently, accurately, and on time.

  • Sort and prepare mail and packages for daily delivery routes
  • Operate a USPS vehicle or walk to deliver mail along assigned routes
  • Collect outgoing mail from collection boxes and customer mailboxes
  • Ensure accurate and safe delivery of packages, including those requiring signatures
  • Maintain delivery logs and report any delivery issues promptly
  • Provide courteous and professional service to all USPS customers
  • Follow established safety procedures and USPS operational standards

Required Skills and Experience

  • Valid state driver's license with a clean driving record (for vehicle-based routes)
  • Ability to lift and carry mail and packages up to 70 lbs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow delivery protocols
  • Basic knowledge of route navigation and time management
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in delivery or logistics operations
  • Familiarity with handheld delivery devices or scanning tools
  • Knowledge of local delivery routes and geography
